Thank you gentlemen for your nice comments!, The tires are in your "Jeep tires" thread Haines, but they are 7x15 vintage wagon wheels from a Montana junkyard and were sandblasted and painted "Michigan Yellow", or the closest thing I could find, tires are 235-75R15 radials and ride very nice. The top I purchased from a 2A page member, he had New Life Canvas make it and used it a year, I do not have doors or the side pieces but just wanted a summer top to keep the sun off and light rain, I just mounted it Saturday for the first time on my new Walcks top bow set. The Jeep was my dads and it had a full hardtop on it when he purchased it, he sold the top as he did not like it so I think this is the first soft top ever on this Jeep, and I think he would be very happy with the look as well. Also 2014 will be a special year for me and to celebrate I will attend the 2014 fall colors event in the great state of Colorado with this Jeep, so you bolth can see it in person ;D ;D Lee

I had no idea that it was your Fathers, so that makes it even BETTER! Sir Hawkridge...was is colorful I said, or another word??? Sometmes the words get blurred . When you meet him in Colorado next year, I think that you both will be most pleasantly suprised.... Sir Leemeister is the Schiz-nit! Besides, he wears your cologne ;D ;D So I guess I will have to attend next year as well!!!

Notice I am running 12 volt, the PO had switched it and ran a Chrysler alt, but had a very skinny belt that squealed all the time, so I went old school 12V generator, was on a 60 Willys truck, bolted right on and works great with a new napa regulator. I do need to pull the engine for paint. Attachments:

What is the proper name of that Green?. And both Harvest Tan..Now that Sir seems to be an Omen I believe it is an industrial green finish, my dad had a gallon of this color paint, and painted his machine tools this color, Green was his favorite. The po had painted the Jeep that color, IMHO your grandfather most likely found his paint in the trash at GE, liked it because it was briter than Industrial grey and he did not want the paint to go to waist, I never knew him but from what you have said, and his depression era upbringing, I would guess a conservative natured person,,,,,,,,,,,The color of my 2A now is Emerald green, first used in 1949. What is the proper name of that Green?. And both Harvest Tan..Now that Sir seems to be an Omen Haines, "Omen" may be a fitting word, I looked Omen up in the dictionary, condensed, it says, " an event or phenomenon believed to be a sign or warning of a future occurance. Now that being said I will attempt to explain what has happened,,,,,,,,,,, Two little trucks built five years apart in the 40's, painted the same color Tan new, then at some future point painted the same Industrial green color, end up in the hands of two dumbasses born in the 60's, five years apart, 1200 miles apart with no reason in the world to ever come to know one another other than we have two like trucks built in the 40's,,,,,,,,That my friend is F&$#ing spooky and exactly what the dictionary says . I know very well after reading this you are smileing and really wanting to post a followup ;D,,,,,,,go ahead,,,,,,make my day Lee
