Welcome Andy! Glad to have you here. As you can probably tell we are not as serious as other Flat Fender Jeep Sites. We like to laugh and make fun of each other. On the other hand, some of the most talented Jeep people on the planet reside here. Hope you enjoy it!

Andy, where in the UK? That's going to throw off the calculations about figuring out a global midpoint where we can set up a meeting, but hell, we'll try anything twice or so. At least Bob will. Anyone got the skills to turn a Wullus Wagon into a seaworthy scow?
Seriously, though, welcome Andy. I ask because my dad did a 5-year stint at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk and I graduated from high school at RAF Lakenheath. Some of the best times and worst times there, and I refer to it as "home" because I lived there longer than anywhere until my dad retired.
Cheers, Jeff in Charleston SC

One or both would need to find a GPA
Or a DUKW
Either one and your still gonna need lots of Dramamine.

Welcome to accross the pond! When I see posts of original WW2 stuff found lying on old English farms, still marked with D day invasion markings, I get all goose pimpled. These days, I see more and more Jeeps being sold to the UK. Must be a bunch over there running around. To joust and interject here on Haines garage, remember to wear thick skin. Hand it out as much as it's given. This place is never dull. John, Or Oil, or Oilly.

Welcome!
Jeff, I think that it is now official...we all get to crash the Haines Garage for a geographic central meeting point. I guess you get to sleep at home too. lol

Worcestershire is a nice County. Nothing too dramatic just a proper piece of England.

Welcome to the Garage. I have a few web friends over on your side of the pond. You guys pay the BIG $$$ for the greasy old "F" marked parts I haul out of the woods here That's a beauty of a 2A you have. What's the story on it? Did you have it shipped from the US or did you find it in the UK somewhere?

I bought my 2A from a chap who imports old off road road motor bike parts from your side of the water in Colorado. The Jeep was owned by the father of the two brothers selling the bike parts. When the old guy passed away the Jeep was sold and came over here with a load of bike parts. So I bought it from the bike part dealer in Staffordshire. It was running and moving but required a lot of work. It was four years before I got it on the road again. Since then I have added things like the over drive. The Jeep is going to be in a classic car magazine soon. I will post a photo of the article when it comes out. This is my Dad checking out what I have spent in your money $4800 on.
