I've got a box similar to what you describe. It's for Greek M2 ammo, though, and not WWI.
You want it? I'll take a pic when it gets light outside.

Tried to load a pic and an error message comes up says the forum has exceeded some limit. Hmmmm. Curious.
Anyway, after I dug my box out I noticed it wasn't finger jointed. Just screwed together.
Back to the drawing board!
