WWII original helmet liner and two practice grenades. Cool. How long do you have to practice before they give you real ones?

After a few tries with practice ones that just pop you get real ones to throw. These are pineapple ones which I didn't have.
Tell you a story about my basic training with hand grenades... The practice went fine and then next Drill SGT I got for the real grenades said I was throwing them wrong. He said not to throw like a baseball but more like a shotput. So I did what he said. You know or 20 push ups if I didn't.
Well to make a long story short. The grenade rolled out of my hand trying to shotput it just on the other side of the concrete wall. He pulled me down and yelled grenade. Man was that a loud defining sound and I sure felt the concussion. He didn't say much to me after that. I went on to get sharpshooter in grenade. Not perfect but the middle.
