Im having my flywheel surfaced and balanced with my engine. I have a new pilot bushing and I was going to see if the machine shop could install it and ream it to proper size. But what is the proper size to have it reamed to?
I've looked but I havent found an answer from a reliable source.

FWIW, I've never reamed the few I've replaced. Pop the old out and press the new in....
But, that doesn't make what I do right, lol!

Thanks, I will see if he can replace it. If I need it reamed later, I can take measurements.

I have adjustable reamers. Yes, you will need to fit it after install. I would take a input shaft and test fit it. They may vary a little depending on wear and MFG. I've never measured it. Don't forget to lube it before you install the clutch assembly. Oilly

Thanks, Quick question. Whats the orientation between the crankshaft and the flywheel with regards to the timing marks. I remember reading number 2 and 3 should be oriented at the top and the timing marks should be on the passenger side of the assembly.
Is that correct? Im going to the machine shop now in order to drop off the crank, rods, pressure plate etc. to be balanced

Position the engine with # 1 coming up on compression until it's at TDC. (Piston all the way at the top). The timing marks on the flywheel should be in the round window below the starter on the passenger side. You also will static time the distributor to fire # 1 . Points just breaking with the 5 degrees BTDC in the timing window. I'd mark this with white paint now on your flywheel. Oilly
