Great eyes Officer Leemeister....will post some more pics later. What year did they go to the one piece? Pretty sure the one piece was introduced in 46 at some point but I am sure a little investigation on the 2A page will find your answer. Any time I see 3 data plates I think 1945 but it did extend into 46. Column shift jeeps mainly. Somewhere in the net and I think Sean who used to hang out at the 2A page had it, is a good data plate page with all the different plates over the years. They even made the large one in brass, I have one that is way cool. There were several different graphics on the long one too over the years.

Just an update...I am currently rebuilding both Dana 25 Front Axle, and Dana 41 Rear Axle. There are threads here under technical about both. Need to get those axles under the chassis, as per Sir Schimmsters request

u gotta scott, once you get the axles under it, the engine on the frame and the brakes and gas lines all run with a steering box in thats when you are almost done. took me a full year to get to that point then in my next summer i dropped on the cab and all the body. your close scott.

Update as of 1212/27/2013. I have been rebuilding the front and rear axles. When these are complete, I will show install onto the springs here. Today I accomplished alot of cleaning, and painting. I spent two hours wire wheeling brake parts, and bolts for the rear axle. I have been prepping and priming many small parts for weeks. Seat brackets, windshield brackets, floor covers, latches, etc. I had a paint day today, and was able to apply three coats of OD Green to all, including the Dana 41 rear axle housing. I love paint days!!! It is coming along, no rushing, no cheating, no shortcuts....It has been a good day

I am opposite of you in regards to paint days: I can't stand them! It's odd. You'd think that would be the best part...the pinnacle of achievement...but painting annoys me. Too much prep work and a pita to clean up.
I'd much prefer to remove and clean the parts. I guess in the future I'll be shipping stuff to you to paint! Haha!

It is my friends a monumental evening at Haines Garage, This one is for you Sir Schimmster! The rebuilt Dana 25 Axle is in place!! Here it comes!! My son came home from work and saw me monkeying in the Garage....1 Hour later....Front Axle is on!!! We dropped the rear of the springs, bolted the axle on, and replaced the pins. I am Getting VERY EXCITED! I know there are miles to go before I sleep, but this is a milestone for us. The cover is only held in by 4 A marked bolts, I have brake lines that need to be installed
