While many markings were done stateside and in England. After D-Day many markings were downsized after a helmet was found with a sniper bullet dead center of the marking.

I will measure mine tomorrow as it was a hand done one as opposed to a stencil. Still larger like D-Day instead of post D-Day.

Here is my helmet with the 321st Glider Field Artillery cannonball with tick at 3 o'clock to designate it. It was hand drawn and hand painted like many would have been done in England before D-Day.
