All good Schimmmmmmmms, I would have been disappointed if you had melted them down , Looking at your above posted photo's I see a box for a Venire caliper, that better not have a dial or a digital readout, if so you have some explaining to do!!!!!!!!! . Lee

haha its a dial caliper and the reason its in that box is because no one ever puts them back in the correct box. all the metrics are in the standard boxes its a night mare but half the people in the lab don't know what things are when they use them. the worst is watching someone try to use a micrometer on a moving lathe part. when you crash a machine or damage something you have the sign the machine in the lab. almost all the lathes have at least 3 names on the back of them and a few have some big chunks out of their chucks.

ok she has the WO machined in her. need to paint it and sand it and such then punch the bolt hole pattern in it. but i left my cover at home i think.

going to paint it black then sand it off the top. once its off i will clear coat it. that will allow a nice contrast on it.

put the first coat of paint on it, I'm going to put another on tomorrow then face the top (2-3 passes) then sand and clear coat.

funny scott. i got another coat of black on it today, I'm going to face it down tonight or tomorrow night then begin the sanding and clear coating for the top. then all the sides will be machined primed and painted black.
