Toccoa Military Weekend is celebrated every year the first weekend of October. This will be the first time I have been there. This is the camp that created the Band of Brothers. It will be big. I will be there Friday thru Sunday. I would very much like other members of Haines Garage to be there to celebrate this epic and historic weekend with me (especially as I probably will not know anyone there). Though all who are there will have a common theme in to celebrate which makes us all brothers and sisters. Please post up if this will be an event that some will be able to attend and we can make it an even more epic event with friends. Toccoa 2015

I was looking at their website and found the attendance form, but they mentioned another specific form for reinactors/living historians. Do you know where said form is? I couldn't find it.

It's getting closer and I'm getting pumped. Counting the days. Gonna be living the dream this weekend. I will be there in uniform. I got shotgun in the Parade Yes? I need to borrow those size 13s. I have no boots. This is going to be Epic! Mostly because we get to meet in Person! All the years of Internet, and phone calls. I am looking forward to it as well. I have been to Toccoa many times. This will be the best one, I am sure!

You got shotgun. Anyone else in uniform needing a ride has to sit in the back. Epic for sure. I will be in period uniform the whole week. The hanger dance and music is going to be epic as well. Meeting Pee Wee Martin and other WWII Vets, priceless.
Oh and look for me. I'll be the guy wearing the 101st patch. LOL

Leavin' out Thursday after work next week. Going to be a 1940s weekend for me. I'll be in period uniform the whole time. Just look for the guy with the 101st patch on. Picked up an original Ike jacket in my size. Putting the rank and patches on tomorrow.

Best kind of weekend to have.. alas, I'll probably not be in attendance but can try again next year. I wore out my welcome doing local events several weekends in a row recently ...

It will actually be my first day off in about 25 days! Yippee. But...sorry guys...I won't be at Toccoa. I'll be watching my 9 year old son play soccer in a tournament that weekend and at the same time, I'll be entertaining my 6 year old daughter on the sidelines.

I will be there to ride with you and short round in the parade. I am most looking forward to meeting you in person Sir Eric after all this time. What I am most excited about, is just to be a part of your relentless endeavor to honor this country's soldiers. I will have my uniform out this week. I need to stitch the patches you sent me on. What is proper?

1/2 half inch down from the shoulder seam and centered. In WWII it was what it was. They did not have the specifications on patches they have now. Can't wait till we meet. Funny, last time I was out in uniform someone called me "Lee Marvin".

My patch is stitched on. And working on my helmet. Same worn to CFCT two years ago, with the headliner signed by attendees . See you Saturday Sir Eric.. Looking most forward to it.

Looking forward to it. And a parting tribute to Uncle Rudy. He left quite an impression on me. Always so upbeat.
