John B. is a one of my go to guys when the going gets tough. He offers advice and info. freely and has the best repro steel parts available, that he makes right there! Amazing focus and ability. Just what is the barf that's in your fuel? Is it out of a local gas stations tank, or sealer that has fallen in or Gopher hair that Lee snuck into your tank? I hope it isn't E 85 that spererated from sitting. I've had that once----------never again. Oil

It's not really barf. It's mostly gas and and a bit of water and probably some rust particles.
When I had all the water condensation issues a while back, I drained the gas tank until it was empty. The gas that came out wasn't all that bad. I've been running it in my lawnmower.
I refilled the tank with 93 octane ethonal-free gas. That's the only "pure" gas I can find around here. It's the only thing I use in the jeeps and truck. At the time, I tried to open up the fuel filter, but the locking nut AND the drain nut were seized to the point that I couldn't get either to budge. I soaked them in kroil and still couldn't move them
Two nights ago I used more penetrating oil. Those bastages were still resisting yesterday. Finally, the nut to remove the filter bowl moved. So I was finally able to drain it. After more penetrating oil and with the help of a vice, I could get the draining nut to budge. It was a lot of effort.
The tank was ReNu'ed and all new fuel lines were installed. I'm thinking nothing was done to the filter due to the incredible amount of resistance it displayed. I've only seen water in the fuel pump glass bowl...and haven't seen that since I drained and filled the tank to full. And I've had the truck running for several hours since then.
From here, forward, I'll just continue with routine fuel system maintenance per the TMs.
Thank you all for your help and concerns.

And I have no problem with John Bizal. I've spent a few thousand dollars buying M37 and WC NOS and repro parts from him. In my opinion, he's the Ron F of the Dodge world.
